How Long Would You Like Your Single Traverse Rod?
In inches rounded to the nearest quarter inch and in decimal form, please enter your desired rod length below. Do not include extra length for finials. The maximum length is 192 inches (16ft) for a one-way draw and 384 inches (32ft) for a center draw.
Because your rod is over 90 inches, we've recommend the following changes:
To save on shipping, we recommend splicing your rod in half at the center.
If you choose to splice in the center, you'll be limited to selecting Center Draw only.
For rods over 90", we will contact you after placing your order to review additional freight costs and obtain payment.
Because your rod is over 192 inches (16ft), your rod must be spliced in the center.
This also means that only Center Draw is available. If you do not wish for your rod to be spliced, please reduce your length to 192 inches or less.
Your Rod is Too Long
You must reduce your length to 384 inches (32ft) or less.
Rod Measuring Guide
Window treatments are always measured width by length, and the width is always stated first. The length is always measured from the top of curtain panel to the floor.
Measuring for an outside mount: Generally for an outside mount, window hardware is mounted one to three inches above the top edge of the window frame. Measure horizontally from the outside edge of one side of the window molding to the outside edge of the other side.
Measure in three places: at the top, middle and bottom of the window, rounding your measurement to the nearest 1/8-inch. Take the widest of these measurements as your window width measurement.
Make a small pencil mark on the wall indicating the correct width and length. Hold the rod up to the wall using the pencil marks as a guide. Position the mounting brackets on the rod, and use a pencil to mark where the brackets will be screwed into the wall. This width should be at least 2”- 4” beyond each side of the window for each bracket placement.
Height of the bracket placement is determined by the finished drapery length and style. If the treatment is designed to be used with drapery rings, be sure there is proper allowance for the drop of the ring.
If you choose to expose your entire window: Add 6-8" to the actual width of the window to allow enough space when the curtains are completely open in order to “clear” the window.
Because your rod is over 90 inches in length, you have the option to splice the rod.
Additional Freight Costs Required
Due to the length of your rod and your selection of no splice, we'll contact you after placing your order to provide an estimate for additional freight costs. To avoid additional freight costs, we suggest splicing your rod. However, please be aware that if you choose to splice your rod in the middle then your rod must be center draw.
Splice Info
Supporting a Splice
We recommend that brackets are placed on either side of a splice. You'll have the chance to select which brackets you'd like, and how many, on a later step.
Rod Connector Included
An easy to install Rod Connector is included when you splice your rod.

When to Choose a Ceiling Mount
A Ceiling Clip is mounted directly to the ceiling. With this mount type, you will not be able to select a rod fascia or finials. If you would like a rod fascia, please select either a Ceiling extension mount or a Wall mount.
Ceiling Mounts are popular for inside mount applications, which is when mounting your rod inside of a window sil.
When to Choose a Ceiling Extended Mount
A Ceiling Extension Mount is mounted directly to the ceiling. With this mount type, you may select a rod fascia or track only. The Ceiling Extension Mount type includes a downward extension that allows room for a rod fascia. When a rod fascia is attached, it may extend up to 2" above the track. The Ceiling Extension Bracket allows you to install your traverse rod with a rod fascia directly to the ceiling.
For a Ceiling Extended Mount type, you will receive a Ceiling Extension Bracket which the Ceiling Clip (pictured) attaches to. The Celing Extension Bracket is then installed to the ceiling.
When to Choose a Wall Mount
A wall mount attaches directly to the wall. With this mount type, you may select a rod fascia or track only.
For a Ceiling Extended Mount type, you will receive a Ceiling Extension Bracket which the Ceiling Clip (pictured) attaches to. The Celing Extension Bracket is then installed to the ceiling.
Ceiling or Inside Mount Information
For Somfy® motorized track, ceiling mounts attach from the top of the track directly into the ceiling or the top casing of a window. A fascia is not compatible with this mount style. See photos below for more information.
Extended Ceiling Mount Information
For Somfy® motorized track, extended ceiling mounts attach to the ceiling at the top. A clip is attached to the bottom of the bracket that is then attached directly to the top of the track. The extended clerance allows for the use of fascias while still reamining close to the ceiling. See photos below for more information.
Wall Mount Information
For Somfy® motorized track, wall mount brackets are only available in the vertical legged position. The legged portion of the bracket has a snap-on cover that matches the bracket. Fascias are compatible with this mount style. See photos below for more information.
Step
Now, Let's Select Your Fascia Style
Select from 48 different hand-finished fascia choices in both wood and metal.
Fascias are not Compatible with a Direct Ceiling Mount
Since you selected a Ceiling Mount, fascias are not compatible with your rod. You may go back a step and select a Extended Ceiling Mount with Optional Fascia if you'd like a fasica. Otherwise, please select a Track Finish below.
Would you Like a Mitered Return?
Since you selected a , you may select whether or not you'd like a mitered return, and if so, you may select a return distance between 3.5" and 6".
Info on Mitered Returns
Mitered returns are achieved when a fascia is cut in such a way that produces a 90° angle which returns straight into the wall from the right and left ends of your rod. You may select a return length anywhere from 3.5" to 6".
Select a Mitered Return Distance
Select a mitered return distance from 3.5" to 6", rounded to the nearest quarter of an inch
Rod Measuring Guide
How to Determine Proper Rod Length
To properly determine a rod length, measure the space you which for the rod to cover. Do not include additional length for finials, and only enter the length which the rod should be.
An Important Note on Length
The maximum length is 16 feet for a one-way draw and 32 feet for a center draw. Center draw tracks may be spliced only in the center of the track.
Smart Track Considerations
Tracks with a rod fascia will have the fascia cut 1/2" longer than the track to accommodate placing of finials. It is recommended that track lengths that are center draw and are longer than 8 feet be center spliced to save on excessive shipping charges. However, we will build tracks up to 16 continuous feet. Tracks longer that 16 feet should be center draw. We will not splice one-way draw tracks - only center draw traverse rods are spliced.
You'll be able to select your draw direction and splicing options on a later step.
Select Your Fascia Style
Rod Fascias are custom spliced diagonally in the center and permanently attached to a color coordinated dual-glide track. Wood rod fascias may be selected in 2” smooth or fluted designs. 1-3/8” wood rod fascias may be selected in smooth, reeded, and square designs, and metal rods may be selected in a 1-1/4” compatible smooth design.
Info on Mitered Returns
Mitered returns are achieved when a fascia is cut in such a way that produces a 90° angle which returns straight into the wall from the right and left ends of your rod. You may select a return length anywhere from 3.5" to 6".
Select Your Fascia Finish
Rod fascia will be 1/2" longer than the track so that the base of the finial can overlap the rod
Select Your Track Finish
The track is available in two powder coated finish colors (dark bronze and white), or anodized aluminum.
The track is available in two powder coated finish colors (dark bronze and white), or anodized aluminum.
Track Measurement Diagram
Important Note
We have provided the recommended powder-coated finish for the dual-glide traverse track that will be used in the fabrication of your traverse rod. This track finish will color coordinates with the rod fascia you have selected. You may choose to change the dual-glide track finish to any of the four powder coated finishes by selecting a different option below.
Step
Next, Choose How You Would Like Your Single Traverse Rod to Operate
Next up, you'll decide details about how you would like for your traverse track to operate your curtains.
Choose Your Draw Direction
Please select in which direction you would like to draw your curtains.
Because you choose to splice your rod, only Center Draw is available
If you wish for either a right or left draw, you must go back a step and remove the option to splice.
Because your rod must be spliced due to a length of over 192 inches (16ft), only Center Draw is available
If you wish for either a right or left draw, you must go back a step and reduce your length to 192 inches or less and elect to not splice your rod.
Choose Your Drapery Carrier Type
Please select your drapery carrier type. The carrier type determines how your drapery will be hung.
Drapery Carrier Info
Pinch Pleat vs Ripple Fold
Pinch Pleat drapery fabric is hemmed in a fashion which produces a narrowing near the top of the curtain panel, while Ripple Fold is hemmed to produce a straight appearance that does not narrow.
Choose Your Ripple Fold Fullness
Please select your desired Ripple Fold drapery fullness percentage.
Choosing Ripple Fold Fullness
The fullness of the Ripplefold is determined by the spacing of the Ripplefold carriers. The higher the fullness percentage, the more undulating folds the fabric has. Refer to the chart below for an approximation of the available percentages.
Choose Your Ripple Fold Master Carriers
Since you selected a Center Draw Ripple Fold carrier, you have the option of choosing a Master Carrier style: Butt Master or Overlap Master.
Master Carrier Help
Butt Master vs Overlap Master
Since you selected a Center Draw with Ripple Fold carriers, you may also select how the center draws together. With Butt Master, the curtain pleats butt up against each other with no overlap. With Overlap Master, the curtain pleats slightly overlap, as arms on the right and left carriers are positioned offset from each other, allowing each to pass beyond each other for a short distance.
Step
Now, Choose Your Finials
Select the finials that you would like for your Single Traverse Rod. Finials are presented in the finish that matches your fascia selection.
Finials are not Compatible with a Direct Ceiling Mount
Since you selected a Direct Ceiling Mount, finials are not compatible with your Single Traverse Rod. You may go back to Step 2 and select a Extended Ceiling Mount if you'd like finials. Please also be sure to select a fascia style other than No Fascia. Otherwise, please continue.
Finials are not Compatible with No Fascia
Since you selected No Fascia, finials are not compatible with your Single Traverse Rod. You may go back to Step 3 and select a fascia if you'd like finials. Otherwise, please continue.
Finials are not Compatible with a Mitered Return
Since you selected a mitered return, finials are not compatible with your Single Traverse Rod. You may go back to Step 3 and select no mitered return if you'd like finials. Otherwise, please continue.
