How to Measure

Select Inside Mount when you want to install your roller shade inside the window casing so that the installed shade will be flush with the outside wall.

Select Outside Mount when you want the roller shade to extend beyond the window casing. You have no minimum depth requirements with this selection, and you eliminate any possibility of a light gap between the shade and the window casing.

Measuring for Inside Mounts

Use a metal tape measure to measure the opening width (A) at three different places, and use the narrowest for ordering. We will make the shade ³⁄₈" narrower so it will not rub against the casing. Measure the height (B) of the window from the top (Soffit) down to the window sill.

Measuring for Outside Mounts

Use a metal tape measurer and measure the exact width (A) and height (B). It is recommended that the shades overlap the window by at least 1—¹⁄₂" on each side. Measure to the window sill, and in case no window sill exists, allow the bottom measurement to go 1—¹⁄₂" beyond the bottom of the window casing.
